Our Managing Director Discussed how the European Semester can Help the Recovery of SMEs in the EU

Our Managing Director Stefan Moritz was part of a selected policy panel that took place on September 8, hosted by MEP Enikő Győri and opened by MEP Markus Ferber, dedicated to how the European semester can help to boost the economic recovery during the COVID-19 crisis.

He provided the perspective of our confederation, proposing to use SMEs and their performance as criteria for adequate fiscal and budgetary policies, especially now for the recovery of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Coronavirus economic crisis. He had occasion to present this position to a large audience of nearly 200 attendees, as well as to fellow panellists like Mrs. Kristin Schreiber, Director of SME Policyat DG GROW, the DG for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SME’s of the European Commission.
