Mr Mario Ohoven, President of European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME and of its German member BVMW, spoke at the online high-level conference “From Pandemic to Recovery” organised by the International Development Finance Club (IDFC) and by VEB.RF, the Russian National Development Corporation. He joined other illustrious speakers like the Secretary-General of the UN António Guterres and the OECD Secretary General Ángel Gurría.
Mr Ohoven discussed how SMEs in Europe should be put at the hearth of the economic recovery, as they are the backbone of the European economy. He argues that tailored measures should be taken to ensure that small and medium-sized companies can get back on track to provide prosperity to European citizens and, consequently, also to Europe’s international partners.
