The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice unites SME companies not only from Silesian Voivodeship and other regions of Poland but also from abroad, acting continuously for 30 years. Its mission is to create an environment for the cooperation of companies, public institutions, science and self-government.
Their president is Tomasz Zjawiony, who is also the Vice-President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice organises one of the biggest events for SMEs in Europe, the European Congress of Small and Medium Size Enterprises. An international event attracting thousands of entrepreneurs and experts from all over Europe, representatives of international institutions, MEPs, local government officials, scholars, and other professionals from the field of business.
The Congress looks at the SME sector from a very wide perspective, especially in the context of international cooperation, business and local government. At the same time, it gives entrepreneurs and local government employees tools and knowledge that help them in their daily development.
