AMSP ČR – Asociace malých a středních podniků a živnotníků ČR / Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Crafts of the Czech Republic was founded in 2001 upon three fundamental pillars:
INDEPENDENCE & EXPERTISE & EXPERIENCE.
Since 2001 the AMSP ČR has offered an open, apolitical platform for small and medium enterprises, self-employed persons and various groupings. It represents the interests of more than 300,000 cross-sectorial entrepreneurial subjects. It is the primary representative of the broadest business segment in the Czech Republic. Apart from legislation, export, innovation, education, and financing of SMEs, it focuses on family businesses, crafts, beginning businesspersons, local producers and growers, small commercial and gastronomy establishments, women in business, and businesses in the countryside.
The AMSP ČR also organises its projects, most notably the following: Young Business, Family Business, Business Savvy Woman, Rooting for the Crafts, Small Business-gastro, and Silver Business.
Major projects of the Association include “2016 – Year of the Crafts”, “2017 – Year of the Countryside”, “2018 – Year of the Family Business”, “2019 – Year of Digital Business”, “2020 – Year of Small Business”, 2021 – Year of new opportunities”, “2022 – Year of new technologies”.
The Association initiates or organises its awards such as the Business Savvy Woman of the Year, Family Business of the Year, Get Started for a young business, Craft Achievement Award and other activities connected with some financial reward.
Furthermore, the AMSP ČR is one of the founding members of the Alliance for Transparent Business.
AMSP ČR demands that government authorities demonstrate permanent and continuous interest, effort and professional ability to create a realistic strategy for a developing and viable business environment and ensure favourable conditions for enterprising activities in the Czech Republic.
AMSP ČR proudly subscribes to the sustainability strategy and SDGs. In April 2015, AMSP ČR was among the first 17 Czech signatories of the UN Global Compact (the most prominent CSR network sponsored by the UN).
