On Thursday 13 November 2020, European Entrepreneurs hosted its annual General Assembly. We were honoured to be joined by Mrs. Elisa Ferreira, European Commissioner in charge of Cohesion and Reforms, who provided the keynote speech opening the agenda of the event.
She recognised the absolutely vital contribution that SMEs bring to the European economy and how they necessitate to be fully supported to overcome the crisis.
She confirmed the European Commission is fully committed to provide all possible aid in the current legal framework, including of course access to the new funding channels but also through existing European programs that SMEs have access to.
Mrs. Kristin Schreiber, Director for SME Policy at DR GROW and Deputy SME Envoy of the European Commission provided the following keynote speech, setting down the vision for the next technical steps that are planned to support SMEs during and following the pandemic.
The General Assembly then moved forwards with the working agenda dedicated to the next steps our confederation has planned for the coming months to keep championing the role and needs of SMEs in Europe. Stay tuned form ore news coming soon!
