We as European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME are cooperating with Uganda Investment Authority together with whom we are pleased to announce the launch of a webinar that will take place on September 29th. They will provide a concrete idea of what are their proposals on how to address trade development between Uganda and the EU. This webinar represents a preview of what is going to be the Uganda-EU Business Forum on October 26th-27th in Kampala (Uganda), whose main topic will be ‘Mobilizing quality investments and boosting trade between Uganda and the European Union’. There you will get to know a renewed commitment by both public and private sector stakeholders to building stronger Uganda – European Union business, investment, and trade ties.
Stefan Moritz, Secretary General of European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME, will open the webinar event. Mrs. Sarah Kitakule, Director of Sustainable Business for Uganda Platform (SB4U) will briefly introduce the topic of the Business Forum. Following, a speech from the Executive Director of the Uganda Investment Authority, a statutory agency that greatly supports measures to enhance investment in Uganda by also advising the Government on how to achieve this goal.
During the webinar, many investment opportunities in Uganda will be presented, from furniture manufacturing to cement production, from animal feeds processing to solar power generation, and from honey production to granite manufacturing. A part of the webinar will be thus dedicated to the role of the private sector in Uganda, during which Mr. Stephen Asiimwe, Executive Director of Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), will share his knowledge and expertise.
