The re-opening of a MobiliseSME call for exchanges of employees through Mobilise SMEs Again has attracted many companies to express their interest as they see all the benefits that a training-oriented exchange with a company in another country offers. One such company was the beauty salon in Formentera SeAma, which once again hosted experienced trainers from the Italian firm Gruppo Dorsi. The trainers, with years of experience in body care and customer service, have formed SeAma’s staff in the latest techniques of the sector, while also explaining how guiding the client provides a unique added value.

Since when MobiliseSME matchings have re-opened through the Mobilise SMEs Again call, companies have re-applied to join the scheme that lets them send an employee to another company abroad or host one from a foreign SME. One such story is the matching between ADS Insight, a Belgian company specialising in European legislations and projects, including the circular economy, and WCYCLE Institute, a Slovenian centre focusing on the application of the circular economy in the country.

On March 20th and 21st, European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME hosted the first EU-African SME Summit in Brussels. The two-days international summit aimed to build the foundations for cooperation between SMEs on the two continent in the spirit of Shared Value, a new notion redefining the approach to development via sustainable and smart business ideas, thus creating a “shared value” for the companies putting a business idea in practice while bringing benefit to communities from the services or products that are useful to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals

In 2019, EVEA, the Estonian Association of SMEs and a member of European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME, celebrates its 30 th birthday. The association was founded in 1989, while the country was still under Soviet rule, far from being independent. It was an important year of changes and reforms, including the possibility to create and manage independently-owned small and medium sized businesses in the country.
